Road trips are definitely one of my favourite ways to travel. They give you a chance to see so many different things and really experience an area. While I value being able to stay in one spot, I do think there’s something thrilling about the open road and all the possibilities it gives you each day of your trip.
Some of the best trips I’ve ever had have been road trips. In Scotland, there’s the North Coast 500 and the North East 250. There’s the epic journey I made across Australia from Perth to the Gold Coast and driving all over the North and South Islands of New Zealand on our honeymoon.
And that’s just a few I can think of without even thinking a lot about it!
I also happen to love quotes, and have done for a VERY long time. I recently went through boxes of my old stuff at my parents house and I had saved and printed out so many pages of quotes on word documents when I was a teenager, and written out endless quotes in notebooks too.
Quotes just have a way of explaining things better than we can think of sometimes. That’s why I wrote our all the best travel words as one of my first posts on this site in 2016 and later wrote the best expat quotes.
Now it’s about time I started on a few more quotes posts since I’ve collected a lot more!
These ones are quotes about road trips and travelling on the road. I know lots of people seek out road trip captions for their Instagram photos (I’ve been there) so these are also great for that!
I’ve been careful to actually only include quotes about road tripping or road trip captions that are actually specifically about the road.
