Welcome to Portugal!
Portugal has beautiful beaches, rugged coastlines, delicious food, and vibrant, colourful cities. Throw in great weather and it’s no surprise it was voted the latest “best destination in the world” at the World Travel Awards. Portugal may not feature on as many European itineraries, due to its location on the edge of Europe, but it will more than reward you if you make the effort to visit. The food is amazing, the scenery is beautiful and the cities are exciting and full of life. What are you waiting for?!
Accommodation: Portugal has affordable accommodation, with hostels starting from €10 per night and hotels starting from around €40 for two. In the offseason accommodation in popular destinations in the Algarve will be much cheaper. Airbnb is available.
Transport: There are trains and buses available for inter-city travel and they are relatively inexpensive. For example, the train from Lisbon to Porto is between €20-40.

Lisbon is the world’s leading city break destination. It’s a hilly coastal city that known for its pastel and tile-covered buildings and trams. Combing history, good food, and excellent nightlife, Lisbon is a great introduction to Portugal.
A bit like Lisbon in miniature, Porto has all that Lisbon has to offer in a more compact city, with the addition of centuries-old Port wine cellars where you can learn about and sample the city’s signature drink.
The Algarve is the southernmost region of Portugal and home to some of most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. With golden sand, towering cliffs, turquoise water, and a mild and sunny climate year round, the Algarve is a great year-round holiday destination.
